Profile

I started riding at Ash Tree Riding School in Christchurch when I was eleven years old. I worked as a helper at the weekends and holidays living and breathing horses every second I could. When I was about fourteen years old my Dad organised for me to go for a lesson at Catherston Stud. This was the start of an amazing introduction to dressage. I was lucky enough to be allowed to help at Catherston every weekend and holiday, and eventually ended up with my pony and then horse stabled there. I was able to watch Jennie and resident trainer Paul Fielder train a wide variety of horses and riders. In this time I learnt huge amounts about caring for, handling and training horses. I remember watching the preparations for both the European Dressage Championships at Goodwood, and for the for the Seoul Olympics.                                                    More information
